Controller

I recently left a job as a Controller of a large privately held manufacturing company. Here I did what most Controllers do: I controlled. I was the top financial person and performed the typical controller functions, plus CFO-type work such as projections and strategic planning.

Public Accounting

Public accounting seems like a lifetime ago. I suffered (I mean...worked) through audit and tax season for 10 years. This job as an auditor was so valuable in my career as I visited all types of businesses, learned various accounting systems, experienced different types of accounting challenges.

Forensic Accounting

Who doesn't love the Forensic Accounting field? Assisting police, confiscating records, digging through documents, interrogating suspects, discovering the schemes, writing reports, testifying in court. It is all so exciting.

I worked as a forensic accountant for 5+ years (in concurrence with public accounting). During that time, I investigated over 25 cases and over $7M of fraud losses. I have worked with local and state police, FBI, and state and federal prosecutors. I testified in preliminary hearings, Court of Common Pleas, Federal US District Court, and arbitration hearings. I am a Certified Fraud Examiner and have a masters degree in Legal Studies.
